Scholes Cricket Club First Team v Slaithwaite on Sun 29 Jun 2014 at 1:30pm
Scholes Cricket Club Won 6 Points

Match report It was a miserable wash out on Saturday as the forecasters got it all wrong, as they did Sunday too, but we squeezed a 38 over game out of an underprepared wicket not intended to be used, and Slawit were fairly easily beaten on the inevitably challenging track. The visitors were blown away for 105 as skipper Tom Brook put it on a sixpence and let the ball and pitch do the talking for a superb 7 for 37. Slawit's excellent Aussie Freitag made a fine undefeated 51. Scholes were in bother at 20 for 2 as Berry's spin gripped and bounced, but Toby Booth dug in for an long time for his 11 and Chadwick (51*) and Leonard (22*) saw Scholes safely home in fine style.
