Match report Scholes (233 for 5) beat Shelley (167 all out) by 66 runs
This was a re-assuring win against a very dangerous Shelley, who have a decent attack and big hitting and deep batting line up that will see them win plenty of matches this season. That we overcame another miserable start at 15 for 3 (with Joe Carter leaving the first ball from Yousuf to bowl him)was down to Pete Drysdale's composed 67, Toby Booth's oh so mature and assured 51, and Tom Brook's bruisingly rapid 76*.
233 for 5 wasn't half bad, and Younas' 3 for 53 was impressive stuff.
South African Naidoo showed his undoubted class with 41 but didn't get enough support with former Scholeser Adam Brown contributing a breezy 21, as Shelley perished for 167 in the 35th over. The Brook bros shared 9 wickets and all three were simply excellent as Scholes stayed top.
